You acknowledge and agree, by participating in the Metabolic Balance Program, that the results of such lab work will only be used to prepare the Nutrition Plan, and that any further analysis, including using the results of such lab work to detect and diagnose certain medical conditions, is solely your responsibility together with your physician, and not the responsibility of Metabolic Balance.

Metabolic Balance can only provide you with advice and make recommendations about nutrition for you as an individual. All information provided by Metabolic Balance should not be considered in any way a substitute for medical advice, diagnoses and therapies given by a doctor. Clients should always notify their physician of any disorder, ailment, or medical concern, whether suspected or diagnosed.

Pregnant and nursing mothers, clients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, clients with diagnosed or undiagnosed health conditions, or clients with a body-mass index (BMI) of less than 18 are not permitted to participate in the Metabolic Balance Program.

You must talk to your doctor about participating in the Metabolic Balance Program if: you are under the age of 12 or over the age of 65; you have been diagnosed with any medical condition; are under medical treatment due to being overweight or underweight; you have been advised by a doctor to conform to a certain diet; you have been diagnosed with diabetes; you are currently taking any medication prescribed by a doctor; or you suffer from or have suffered from a condition that makes weight loss undesirable. If you are permitted by your doctor to participate in the Metabolic Balance Program, your doctor should monitor your health on a regular basis and adjust any medication you may be taking, if required.

You must be under a physician’s supervision while participating in the Metabolic Balance Program. Consult your doctor before making any changes to your medication, including any alteration of your prescribed dosage.

If you experience any changes to your health or an exacerbation of an existing medical condition while participating in the Metabolic Balance Program, you must stop the Metabolic Balance Program immediately and seek the advice of a physician.

The Metabolic Balance Program is a nutritional consulting program. The Metabolic Balance Program has not been evaluated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency or Health Canada, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The customized Nutrition Plan you will receive as part of your participation in the Metabolic Balance Program is designed solely for your use. You must not allow any other person to use your Nutrition Plan, as that person will not benefit from a Nutrition Plan that has not been customized for them exclusively, and they may also experience adverse effects.

The Metabolic Balance Program is in no way a replacement of or substitute for medical advice from a licensed physician.
