Until the age of 25, I was always able to eat and drink what I wanted. My weight remained relatively stable and I oscillated between 85 and 90 kilograms. Then my professional situation changed. I started driving a lot, eating irregularly and not finding time to practice sports. I gained five to seven kilograms, year by year. All attempts to lose weight for the long term failed.
My health condition was a concern: I suffered from high blood pressure, onset of diabetes, depression, bowel problems and insomnia. I looked like a sumo wrestler - but without any benefits of their athletic skills!
I had tried every diet imaginable. In 2009, someone I knew introduced me to Linda, a Metabolic Balance Coach. The results of the blood test she performed in June 2009 were catastrophic: 90 percent of the blood values were out of range. Can you imagine, 90 percent!
I started the Metabolic Balance program on July 1, 2009 when I weighed 157 kilograms. And after five months, I had already dropped to 102 kilograms. Unbelievable! Despite my very demanding job, I continued to lose weight. All of my blood values are back to normal.
I ran my first half marathon in 2011, just two years after I started following the concept of Metabolic Balance. Since then, I have taken part in several small triathlons and have run countless kilometers in preparation.
Today I weigh 93 kilograms and my blood test results are excellent. So far, I have managed to maintain my weight without a problem, although I have been off the program for a long time and just stick to a few of the eight basic rules.
