Before Metabolic Balance, I used to train a lot to help regulate my weight. At that time, I was lucky enough to change family doctor, and that's how I met my Metabolic Balance coach. He explained to me that to achieve my goal, practicing sport alone was not enough. My diet was, of course, fairly healthy, but it was poorly suited to my metabolism. This is how I got to experience the Metabolic Balance program.
I had no particular health issues. However, I was caught in a sort of vicious cycle regarding sports and food. To lose weight, I did more and more exercise. And the more I played sports, the more food my body craved. I was having trouble finding the right balance.
I really liked the idea of eating only what was good for my body. The individual approach finally convinced me completely. Also, a program with concrete instructions is ideal for me. I wanted to learn how to eat the right foods in the right amounts first before feeling confident enough to continue on my own.
The first week I truly felt I was detoxing. I suffered from headaches, but I endured them because I knew it was for my good. After that first week, I felt really light and well. Even today, in the maintenance phase, I like to stick to the foods on my plan because, although a treat meal can be nice on occasion, the next day I never feel as good. When I follow the plan, I feel much better.
Thanks to Metabolic Balance, I was able to not only maintain my ideal weight, but also to quit smoking. Also, I have become much more confident about how much food my body needs. Overeating is finally a thing of the past.
